Celebrating its 20th anniversary, CSI Composite Solutions and Innovations Oy (CSI) has appointed M.Sc. (Tech.) Janne Matikainen as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective August 17, 2026. Janne brings extensive expertise in both strategic and operational management, having served in various CEO and operational leadership roles. He has accumulated experience across multiple industries and successfully developed operational models, production performance, and scalability through various stages of growth.
“We have been experiencing solid growth for some time now, and our financial performance is strong. We have the potential to grow even more aggressively, and there is room in the market for this. Now was the right time to make this arrangement—with Janne joining us, we gain a strong expert to run operational activities, freeing up Tapani’s time and expertise to build even stronger growth,” summarizes Jani Korpimäki, Chairman of the Board and founding partner of CSI, describing the preparations for the company’s next phase of development.
In his role, Janne Matikainen will focus on developing and maintaining the prerequisites for profitable operational growth. Tapani Huikuri, a founding partner who has served as CSI’s CEO since 2015, will transition to focusing on the company’s strategic development and driving even stronger growth. Tapani Huikuri will also continue as the CEO of Xtend Blowers Finland Ltd, a CSI subsidiary specializing in the marketing and sales of composite impellers.
“The first few weeks have been fast paced yet extremely inspiring. I have had the opportunity to get to know the people, customers, products, and the immense expertise that has accumulated in the company over the past 20 years. It has been great to see that CSI has a strong drive to move forward and
develop its operations. My role is to help make good even better developing our operations so that we can grow in a controlled manner, serve our customers even better, and at the same time maintain our agility and hands-on culture,” describes Janne Matikainen, CSI’s new CEO, sharing his thoughts on his new position.

Founded in 2006, CSI Composite Solutions and Innovations Oy is a high-technology company that develops, designs, and manufactures customer-specific solutions based on composite technology, as well as carbon fiber impellers manufactured under the Xtend brand.
